Too much bread?

There's a full page ad in both the Herald and Dom today for Nature's Fresh bread. Looks pretty.Looks a lot like the TV One Choices work too.

Is this an idea? Or just a pretty thing. Will it sell bread? Or will it just win a type award.

Idea Lover, Koru Lounge.

It's a rip off.

Go to the latest 'Eye' magazine. You'll see a poster done by Manuel and Noreiga (not 100% that's the right names), a german/austrian design company. The only thing Mojo have done is insert the bread pack shot.

Sorry guys. But if you want to rip something off you hae to try harder to cover your trail.

Fire the creatives Nick, or take yourself out back and give yourself a salary reduction.

I saw it in the weekend, I was unimpressed. It didn't tell me about the bread, didn't give me a reason to buy it and it was extremely busy. I buy that kind anyway so no bother.

I never brought that bread in the brown paper bag (Mackenzies?). But I saw a huge brown paper insert for it in the SST. It wasn't that great, but it was on brown paper so I noticed it. Brought it to give it a go and now I buy it all the time.

Moral of the story, if you don't have an idea, design won't sell it, brown paper will.

It simply wouldn't be from mojo if it didn't have something borrowed in it. Is anyone suprised?

Yeah, it looks bloody great but hey.... call me old fashioned but isn't mojo an ad agency, not a design agency. I tried to hunt for an idea in it and couldn't for the life of me find one.

Yeah I happened to notice the french designers name on the ad itself. If you are going to take the piss get your facts right. I don't even work at Mojo and i'm sick of the Mojo bashing I mean please. Didn't Mojo do the brown paper bag as well. Thanks Mojo for striving to be better and not moaning like a bunch of jealous school girl bitches.

Hey - great. It's good to get facts. Fact is though, it's just a pretty piece of soft, white fluff. In this kiwi's opinion.

Seriously. Nobody's bashing anybody here. Just chit-chatting.

I don't think many agencies escape the bitching here...I don't think this site just picks on Mojo. Forgive me if I'm wrong but here's what I've got from this site,

Mojo - for being scammy
Colenso - for not being half of what it used to be
DDB - for doing homogenous ads.
Y&R/Ogilvys - B grade work
Grey - no clients

I think the only agencies that have escaped the wrath of the blog have been Saatchis, M&C, FCB and Whybins. Oh wait, there was COD SAVE US...

11:03 was definitely not bitchy. To say Y&R's work is B grade was a compliment
