Cool... more negativity. Just what we need.

Is that what you say to your client when he tells you your ad doesn't sell any product?

Some ads are just bad, plain bad - the people who made them ought to know!

The creatives who made them already know they're bad.

Are you suggesting that clients are gonna log onto worstadsontv.blogspot.com everyday to see if their brand ad gets a mention?
Probably not.

It's a free thing, it'll be interesting to se what people think - and no, we don't expect people to read it. But it will give us a fair idea what Joe Public thinks and it'll probably become a consumer blog.

I'd rather keep my bitching private.

Speaking of which - did you see that ad on the botton of the Herald front page for BNZ???!!!

What a badly written pile of poo.

Bang. There goes my brand.

This site is unnecessary.

I can't seem to post any bitchy slagging responses on Worstads. Where's the fun in that?

You're right, Y&R NZ have done some horrible work that BK ad and the Supashake ad.. geez

Go into Y&R for five minutes and you'll know exactly why. It's a terrible place.

A place is what you make of it. It's certainly not Saatchis but give it time and it'll be a good shop.

Y &R has been around for ages.

How much time does it need?

Y&R used to be a very good shop. It won lions consistently for 3 years, got into D&AD and all the rest. It's only been over the last few years that it's all gone to pot. At the moment it's in a rebuilding phase. Admittedly, I probably won't be around when it eventually does get back to where it was but I think that it will get there. Obviously this isn't a neutral POV cos' I work at Y&R but I don't think it's as bad as what everyone makes out.

Nah, let's just keep it as our little secret. I've got an interview lined up with that 'ad hog' guy from Tauranga as well.

Y&R Wellington, worst agency in NZ.

No, it's Y&R Auckland.

Right now, I'd rather work for Y&R than Adworks, MTC, Whybins, Lowe and perhaps even Colenso and FCB.

But that'll probably all change next week.

Right now, I'd rather work at Y&R than be arse-fisted by a large-handed man wearing boxing gloves.

But that'll probably all change later tonight.

Hmmm, not sure if I should roll over and play dead or keep on defending Y&R. It's not a creative hot-house, that's for sure, but there's a group of friendly people here and there's quite a bit going for it. It is ashame that there's a lot of process work being churned out but that is slowly starting to change.

Good on you, Jon.

If you can't be with the one you love....

Anonymous Anonymous said...

Well at least Y&R don't default to children and/or animals for every brief. You know who I'm talking about.

4:41 pm NZST

Anonymous Anonymous said...

You didn't really need to say that. But, hey, what do you know? You work at Y&R.

9:17 am NZST

Anonymous Anonymous said...

hey 2:09, Why is it exactly you'd 'rather be at Y&R than Adworks, MTC, Whybins, Lowe and perhaps even Colenso and FCB'...?

I dare you to give me 5 reasons.
