-  Nothing to do with product.
-  Everything to do with the product.

Now talk.

I like it. Anyone got a link please?

I dunno, my breathable polycotton mix with a gossamer thin membrane underlayer seems to be nice and cool, and then hot, all at once.
That's a scam benefit right there.

I reckon it needs a bit of cross-stitching to brighten it up. Too depressing.

Congrats for digging yourselves out of retail. Been a while since we've seen a brand ad from vodafone. In fact... I can't remember the last one. Has there ever been one? Anyone?

If I view this ad, will I get some of the leftover 2003 Vodafone Warriors tickets?

3:08, it was Lowe London.
But you could be forgiven for thinking it was the Hegarty Empire, given it is tangential and extremely expensive.
Sometimes I wonder about agencies the size of BBH - do they have tanning beds for all their staffers who never see the sun, or is it so big it has its own micro-climate? Like Biodome without Pauly Shore perhaps.

Sorry to get all ad geek on yer arse Gavin Larceny, but check yer facts.

BBH did the TVC, written by Nick Gill and Ewan Paterson. Who work at BBH.

Work at Lowe then, do you?

PS why would Vodafone go to DDB? Is there a rumour? Or are we starting one?

Doesn't that ad have a website as part of the campaign?
A website where you get to give life to something and put your name on it so you can show your friends?
And doesn't that website look suspiciously like another website for a local Pro Bono?

word is that vodafone is up for pitch shortly and DDB have a leg up due to the wrc pr connection.

Hi My name is Robin, I work at Vodafone. We've been calling DDB for weeks now. No one answers the phone. Is there any one there? We didn't think there was, but who else would lamely plant ddb's name in this post.

I really dislike the ad when I imagine it with the english v/o. Just another crap nature doco ad.

Good job with the kiwi v/o on it, who was that - Dave Gibson?

I made a cross stitch ad once (who hasn't?) - does that count as knitting? Stitching and Knitting are quite close aren't they? Can a girl please confirm - I'm thinking of entering it into the Knitting Category but don't want to get outed as a scamster.

9.18am I'm a girl - no wait, let me check under my knickers & top.... yep. Everything's still there. (I've been working on a testosterone-laden client all day).

Cross-stitch is when you carefully put little x's into squares - just like putting together a media schedule, only it's the backing cloth that's getting stitched up and not the client.

Knitting is with two needles and a long bit of wool that you pass over & under the needles to form knots. Sorry, no clever analogy available.

To achieve a really retro feel to your scamster ad, have you considered macrame? It was big in the 70's and involved cleverly twining bits of string together to create pot holders, string leather belts, handbag straps, that sort of thing.

Good luck!
