CANNES: THE UNOFFICIAL OPENING CEREMONY

The Australian and Kiwi contingent at Cannes had a great unofficial opening ceremony last night, taking over the entire Martinez foyer to watch the Australia vs. Brazil game. Everyone was there, including David Droga, Craig Davis, Andy Greenaway and the fabulously controversial Neil French. Oh, also Toby Talbot and Andrew Tinning. News filtered through that several Kiwi entries had made it through to the shortlist of the Promo Lions and the Lions Direct, which will be presented tonight, including the big chance, Adidas from TBWA\Whybin. The exact shortlist I will get in the next hour.

Ha ha! More fool them. While they're sweating in the blistering French sun, we're all walking around with that sexy, pink-nosed, skii-bunny look.

Suckers.
