OXFAM UNWRAPPED BY TEQUILA

A bit of fun for Oxfam this Christmas, and the chance to make a
difference to some people who really need it. Also, could be the
perfect pressie for that CD who's got everything (other than a Donkey
in the Sudan).

Agency: TEQUILA\ Auckland
Client: Oxfam - Scott Young
Suit: Louisa Leiper
CD: Wayne Pick
Writers: Michael Goldthorpe, Bob Kerrigan, Kim Pick
Art Directors: Mari Pettersson
Producer: Fiona Champtaloup
Music: Bruno Barrett-Garnier, Bob Kerrigan, Scott Kelly
Animation: Krafthaus

Too long and really boring. Another 42 Below/ NZI rip off.

"Too long and really boring" is an opinion. Not really one that warrants a serious argument. "42 Below/NZI rip off" is crap. Sure it's an animation, but that's where the similarities end.

Get a life 1:26pm.

I think you'll find that's where the similarities start.

Yeah, that's a shocker. I'll probably get the whole "is that one of yours" from my family at Christmas when they see it on TV.

Is that the same tool who says "It's 42 Below" every single time? It's like you think you're being really insightful by spotting any potential 42 rip off.

It's an animation style foolio.

I think it's pretty funny - and nicely done.

The web address at the end of the ad doesn't load on safari. Maybe it should be changed to www.oxfamunwrapped.org.nz?

Works like a charm.

Sounds like the Whybins PR machine is trying to write anonymous comments here to make it sound like a good ad. It's terrible. Stop trying to defend yourselves. (The donkey is v funny)... err what?

Whether you work for Whybins or not - which I don't - the donkey is very funny. Never said it was a good ad, but isn't it better to look for the good in something, than be just another hater on the blog?

Nice to see an animated ad that doesn't rip off 42 Below. This one rips off the animated BBC series I Am Not an Animal, starring Steve Coogan as the pompous sounding horse. Wait a minute! This one stars a pompus donkey. That's SOOOOO different.

Forget animation style. This ad says nothing about the service provided by Oxfam. How it works, who it benefits etc. You have to at least tell me some of that information if you want to get me to the web site. A total miss.

Oxfam are a bunch of chinless wonders who specialise in driving Range Rovers, wearing chinos, hanging around in bars talking to each other about stuff rather than doing it and giving interviews to the media.

If you really want to help a child in need, get hold of Child Fund. They actually do a bit more than exhorting people to buy goats.

If the amateurs at Colenso can rip off a 42 below ad and win an award, why can’t everyone. Here's to creative plagiarism.
