A BLOGGER WRITES...

Can we get back to the stories that promote bitching, backstabbing, sour grapes and all the things we don't have the balls to say in person. That's what we all come here for right?

OK.... SUGGESTED TOPICS PLEASE....

Seems like someone's internuts need an outing. See recent definition from Urbandictionary.com

Internuts
The phenomenon that occurs when someone becomes a badass when addressing others on a message board.

It is a common practice for the reticent, meek, and cowardly to make bold statements, on the internet, knowing there is no way to be held accountable.

EG: The poster was getting badly flamed, so threatened to kick everyone's ass. His anger made his internuts grow.

I've just blown my internuts.
But not on this site.

And now I feel much better thanks.

How about "Host, Sydney screws up big time with Virgin Mobile Campaign"

http://agencyspy.wordpress.com/2007/07/13/flickr-is-going-to-cost- virgin-mobile-millions-of-dollars/

A timely warning for all NZ creatives using crowd/crap sourcing sites like Flickr and Istock to save a few bucks - it could come back and bite you on the arse!

OK, how about one of the main reasons so few people understand the Kiwi Saver scheme is because the ad campaign is so lame. "As sure as you learn spell check Kiwi Saver will be in your office?" Well we all knew it was coming anyway so why spend millions stating the bleeding obvious. And don't get me started on what a lost opportunity to inform that the press ads were. Somebody had their snout well and truly in the government swill trough here.

Good call 9:42 - I've had to have a few rant about government ads on here before.

Oh come on. There has to be some dirt on why no creatives have left Saatchi for 6 months. I thought the wheels where falling off, everyone was leaving, last one out turn off the lights.

And what has Toby done since starting at DDB apart from winning Lotto and helping get Telecom direct in the door? Anything important?

Now for a juicy one - which ad person, new to their agency, got 'turned away' at Immigration/customs recently while travelling with a client. It seems the poor sole had forgoten about a little run in with the law that limits travelling to certain countries. The mind might forget but Wanganui does not. VERY embrassing and did the client really believe the expired passport story given all the fuss....
If we listed the conviction it would be easy to guess the person as they have not seen the error of their ways.

The real issue at Saatchis is which creatives are being paid and which aren't, and when is CAANZ going to DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT?!

DDB can breath easy now , years of having to lie about having 2 cars accounts (VW & Mercedes) on the books are over. Mercedes have given them the flick. How long till we see the 4sale signs on the large fleet of merc's that the group drives. Or maybe they could sell them to Colenso the new parking space for merc ? Then again if they are owned by the same parent company (Omincom) it would only be a book transfer. The real winners in all this ? some VW car salesman , because VW will be saying "thank you very much guys if it was good enough for you to buy/drive all those mercs & if you really want our business then you will be replacing the mercs with VW's, wont you???.
Will be nice to see Shaz & Sandy in a Polo.
