SAATCHI WORLDWIDE LEADERS TO GATHER IN AUCKLAND FOR FIRST OF REGIONAL SUMMITS

Some of Saatchi & Saatchi’s most influential inter- national execs are set to meet in Auckland next week for the first of a series of regional summits.
The Asia Pacific Regional Meeting, scheduled for 4 and 5 February, is the first stop on the regional circuit for Saatchi Worldwide CEO Kevin Roberts and a group of his senior managers.
On the back of a highly successful 2007 for Saatchi worldwide, which saw the firm achieve significant and well-publicised gains with new and existing clients, these regional meetings will set the tone for 2008 growth, with a focus on the digital business, sustainability, and the global impact of Lovemarks.
Saatchi Auckland CEO Andrew Stone notes that it is auspicious for New Zealand to be hosting the first meeting. “It’s both an honour and an opportunity for us to learn from the leaders of our firm who maintain a global perspective. I am also delighted that they see an opportunity to learn from us, as the New Zealand agency has long been known in the Saatchi network to embody creativity, effectiveness and business success.”
Several of the attendees are household names in the creative world, including:
Bob Isherwood, Worldwide Creative Director (pictured)
Sandy Thompson, Worldwide Head of Planning
Richard Hytner, Deputy Chairman, Worldwide
Tom Eslinger, Creative Director – Interactive, Worldwide
Joining them will be the CEOs of all the Asia Pacific offices, including Australia, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, People’s Republic of China, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam, and New Zealand.
“This meeting also provides a rare chance for the chief executives of all our offices in this part of the world to come together, share ideas, and exchange insights about trends in the region,” Andrew Stone says.

Exciting. But does this matter to anyone other than the people at Saatchi?

There will be a guy at the front stroking a white cat but you can't see his face. Someone's chair will explode. Another guy will be fed to the sharks. Somebody else will get a laser beam in the bollocks. It'll be one of those meetings.

Is that Isherwood or a French mime in the pic?

Actually Isherwood has been training as a French mime. One of the great things about being a top creative is that you are free to indulge in your peculiar whims. I had a CD who frequently shared vids of his wife & him in action, which would have been fine except for the strap-on...

I'm having a meeting at 4.30 in the small boardroom to go over some changes the Assistant Marketing Director made to the urgent 10x2 colour press ad that's appearing in next weeks Viva pullout.
Guys, we really need to pull one of the hat for this - we're up against it.

The client’s really happy with the scripts and only has one last piece of feedback:

Can we please make it clearer that cover excludes drivers under 25 (this needs to be pretty much spelt out in the sentence beginning with ‘Anyone can apply…….’) and applies to both scripts.

We’ll need to get final scripts back to the client tomorrow morning.

your a star ;)

Since you've deigned to tell us all about this wonderful event Rocky, I'll take it as an open invitation to attend. Will lunch be provided?

On the other hand, if that was not your intention...um, thanks for sharing. Bully for you mate.

I've just left the Monday morning WIP.
Thanks to Chantell from accounts for sharing the pics she took of herself and her daughter at Takapuna beach over the summer break. What an inspiration to start the week with!!
But on a more serious note, can everyone please be aware that we have a pitch on this week for Top Marks Photo Warehouse. It's a big one, if we nab this then there'll be a lunch provided by Eve's Kitchen for Friday.
Cher cher guys. Bring it on!!!

this was actually a very funny thread but i'd like to change the topic to one slightly more serious: sidewalk advertising pollution! i'm all for it if there's a big idea or its hilarious but spraypainting the logo in random locations or defacing pavements with A4-sized adhesives (take note you cock smokers at Trade & Exchange) gets me ANGRY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Where's that number for the council?
