WORTHINGTON CONFIRMS CHANGES AT COLENSO


NZCC has just received a note and group photo from Nick Worthington, the new ECD of Colenso BBDO, who confirmed the new hires and promotion reported on the NZCC Blog on Friday...

"Richard Maddocks left the creative department at Colenso BBDO in fantastic shape and it has consistently been the top of the Campaign Brief creative rankings, so the main thing was ‘don’t screw up’.
Anne Boothroyd’s long term partner, Maria, left a gap when she went to Taxi in Canada, leaving the door open for Emmanuel Bougneres, undoubtedly one of the most talented art directors in New Zealand, so it’s a pleasure to have him on board.
Karl Fleet, joins as deputy CD specifically in charge of the junior teams.
Aaron Turk joined the creative department as the creative lead of the digital team, ex CD of Tribal DDB in Sydney, Aaron is a true creative brain and is bringing together the two disciplines seamlessly which is very exciting.
And Steve Cochran is promoted to Creative Director.
Next on the list has to be Len Cheeseman, if I can drag him up from Wellington a day or two a week."

As a junior team do you show your ideas and risk them being stolen or keep them to yourself?

9:43, um no, not really. Some of them are islands. One 'kin hates integration, ask all the staffers at his previous agency. Didn't one work with another at Colenso once and got him fired? Dude, there's a reason why they look so unhappy...

Word is a certain (no longer junior) team at the old agency are about to do a 'Watergate'.
All that aside, who did the man piss off to generate this amount of poisonous gas?

Now heres a scoope - lots of very senior Lion Nathan 'blokes' in jeans that are 2 sizes too small & very expensive jackets that are 2 sizes too big were seen leaving Colenso today & boy did they look happy. Some of those newbies on College Hill might need to read the fine print of their contracts..........
